Data sources
What we use, and what's next
Every source behind QuantX402, what it feeds, and its license status. Only sources marked in use feed anything you see today.
In use
The candlestick foundation model behind every forecast. Each hour it samples 30 future price paths from the last 360 closed 1h candles.
License: MIT, by its original authors (arXiv 2508.02739). QuantX402 is not affiliated with them.
Today's input for the BTC-USD and ETH-USD forecasts (closed 1h candles), the scoring of past forecasts, and the live candles on the home chart.
License: License review in progress. Coinbase's Market Data Terms limit use to personal or research purposes, so we're deciding whether to get written consent or switch the forecast input to a commercially licensed source. Payments are live on Base mainnet; this license question is still open.
Fallback for forecast candles only when Coinbase fails (USDT pair). When it's used, the forecast's venue field says Binance.
License: License review in progress, same as Coinbase. We won't rely on it for paid mainnet forecasts until it's cleared.
